Overview

The Bomber is purpose-built to destroy planetary defences. Its rapid fire against Rocket Launchers (×20) and Light Lasers (×20) lets it tear through massed defences that would stop other ships. Its plasma torpedoes bypass shields on defence structures.

Drive Upgrade

At Hyperspace Drive level 8, the Bomber switches its drive:

This roughly doubles the Bomber's speed, making it practical for offensive operations.

Tips

Anti-Defence Specialist

Combine Bombers with a Battlecruiser fleet. BCs handle the enemy ships while Bombers demolish their defences.

Get Hyperspace Drive 8

Before using Bombers seriously, reach HDD 8. The speed doubles and they become viable raid ships rather than slow dedicated busters.

High Deuterium Cost

At 700 deut/hour fuel burn, Bombers are expensive to fly. Only use them when the defence you're breaking justifies the cost.

Not a Solo Ship

Bombers have low cargo and poor combat stats against other ships. Always use them in mixed fleets.
