Espionage Technology

Espionage Technology determines the depth of information your Espionage Probes can gather. Higher levels reveal resources, defence, fleet, and research of target planets. It also improves your counter-espionage detection ability.

The amount of detail visible depends on your level minus the target's level. If the target has higher Espionage Technology, they detect your probe and you see less.
Counter-Espionage
When your planet is spied upon:
- You receive a notification with the probe count
- If your Espionage Tech is higher, you may see the spy's fleet
Tips
At level 5 you see resources, fleet, and defences in a single probe report. This is the practical minimum for effective raiding intel.
In competitive universes, players max Espionage Tech to detect scouts.
Sending 1 probe risks detection; sending 5–10 probes reduces counter-spy chance. See Farming guide for scouting strategies.
