Armour Technology

Armour Technology increases the structural integrity (hull points) of all ships and defence structures. Each level adds 10% of base hull. It is the third of the three core combat researches alongside Weapons Technology and Shielding Technology.

Hull Mechanics
- When hull drops to zero, the unit is destroyed
- Destroyed ships create a debris field containing 30% of their metal and crystal cost
- At the end of combat, ships with less than 30% hull have a chance to explode — higher damage = higher explosion probability
Destroyed ships become debris that Recyclers can harvest. Both attacker and defender losses create debris on the defender's coordinate.
Tips
Armour Technology costs only metal, making it the cheapest of the three combat techs to level. Keep it in sync with Weapons and Shielding.
Higher hull means more rounds of combat survived, which can turn losing battles into draws or wins — especially for defenders with regenerating shields.
