Terraformer

The Terraformer expands the usable surface area of a planet, granting +5 additional building fields per level and consuming energy. It is irreplaceable on small planets and is often used in conjunction with Astrophysics to maximise the value of colonised planets.

Cost & Fields Table
| Level | Crystal | Deuterium | Fields Added | Total Extra |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 50,000 | 100 | 5 | 5 |
| 2 | 100,000 | 200 | 5 | 10 |

| 4 | 400,000 | 800 | 5 | 20 |
| 5 | 800,000 | 1,600 | 5 | 25 |
Energy Consumption
The Terraformer requires a fixed energy investment per level. Exact cost scales with level and must be met by your Solar Plant / Fusion Reactor.
Tips
A planet rolled with 140 fields and 6 levels of Terraformer gains 30 extra fields — effectively becoming a 170-field planet.
The Terraformer is pure crystal cost. Only build it once you have a strong Crystal Mine income or have accumulated reserves.
Energy Technology 12 and Nanite Factory 1 are both expensive. The Terraformer is a mid-to-late game investment.
