Robotics Factory

Robotics Factory

Overview

The Robotics Factory produces construction robots that speed up building times on the planet. Every level halves the remaining build time, making it one of the highest-leverage infrastructure investments.

Build Time Reduction

Build time(L)=Base time1+R+N\text{Build time}(L) = \frac{\text{Base time}}{1 + R + N}

where RR is Robotics Factory level and NN is Nanite Factory level × 2 raised to its level.

More precisely:

T=hours to build at level 0 robots1+R÷2NT = \frac{\text{hours to build at level 0 robots}}{1 + R} \div 2^N
Combined Effect

A Robotics Factory 10 + Nanite Factory 1 reduces build time to roughly 1/22 of the original. Every Nanite Factory level doubles the division again.

Tips

Build to 10 Before Nanite

Robotics Factory level 10 is the prerequisite for the Nanite Factory. Prioritise this on your main planet.

All Planets Benefit

Each colony should have at least Robotics Factory 5–7 to keep construction queues flowing during off-hours.

No Energy Cost

Unlike the mines, the Robotics Factory consumes no energy — there is no downside to levelling it.
