Fusion Reactor

The Fusion Reactor fuses deuterium to produce large amounts of energy. It is the preferred long-term energy source for high-level planets because its energy output scales faster than the Solar Plant. It consumes deuterium continuously.

Energy Production Formula
where is your current Energy Technology level.
Each level of Energy Technology increases Fusion Reactor output. At Energy Tech 12, the multiplier becomes instead of — a significant difference at high reactor levels.

Deuterium Consumption
The reactor eats deuterium continuously. If your Deuterium Tank runs dry, it shuts down.
Tips
The Fusion Reactor overtakes the Solar Plant in energy-per-resource around level 16. Below that, Solar Plants are cheaper.
Unlock Energy Technology to at least level 6–8 before investing heavily in the reactor — the compound effect on the exponent is substantial.
Consider building your Fusion Reactor on the same planet as your best Deuterium Synthesizer to minimise transport costs.
