Nanite Factory

Nanite Factory

Overview

The Nanite Factory deploys self-replicating nanobots that dramatically accelerate all construction. Each level doubles the build-speed bonus. It is the most powerful infrastructure building in the game and the goal of every serious main planet.

Build Time Reduction

Each Nanite Factory level halves the remaining build time after Robotics Factory is factored in:

Tfinal=Tbase(1+Rrobot)×12NnaniteT_{\text{final}} = \frac{T_{\text{base}}}{(1 + R_\text{robot})} \times \frac{1}{2^{N_\text{nanite}}}

Exponential Gain

Going from Nanite 2 → 3 halves your build time again. The diminishing returns are financial, not mechanical — each level costs twice as much.

Tips

Main Planet First

Build your first Nanite Factory on your main planet (highest mine levels). The build-time reduction pays off fastest there.

Level 2 Sweet Spot

Most players stop at Nanite 2 or 3. Higher levels cost enormous amounts and the practical difference in build time becomes less noticeable once you're already at seconds-per-building.

Ship Building

Nanite Factory also accelerates Shipyard builds — useful for mass-producing fleets.

Prerequisite Check

You need Computer Technology level 10, which itself requires a Research Lab level 8. Plan your research path accordingly.
