Overview

Weapons Technology increases the attack power of all ships and defence structures. Each level adds 10% of base weapon strength. It is one of the three core combat researches alongside Shielding Technology and Armour Technology.

Tips

Symmetric Arms Race

Weapons Technology is an offensive boost, but everyone levels it. The real advantage comes when you're ahead of your target by 2–3 levels.

Balance with Shield and Armour

In the combat simulator, having 10/10/10 (Weapons/Shield/Armour) is more effective than 15/5/5. Balanced research wins more battles.

Early Game Priority

Level 5 in all three combat techs before pushing further. This keeps you competitive against similarly-sized opponents.
