Overview

The Gauss Cannon is one of the best mid-to-high tier defence structures. With 1,100 base damage, it punches hard against capital ships and has no rapid fire weakness to Bombers. It represents the transition from cheap-and-spammable defence to quality fortifications.

Tips

Capital Ship Deterrent

Gauss Cannons deal 1,100 base damage — enough to hurt Battleships and Cruisers meaningfully. A few hundred Gauss Cannons turn a planet into a serious fortress.

Cost Efficiency

At 37,000 total resources, the Gauss Cannon provides excellent damage per resource. It's one of the most cost-efficient defence structures in the game.

Mixed Defence

Combine Gauss Cannons with Plasma Turrets for high-damage deterrence, Shield Domes for absorption, and some Rocket Launchers as cheap cannon fodder.
