Anti-Ballistic Missile

Overview

The Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) intercepts incoming Interplanetary Missiles (IPMs). Each ABM destroys one IPM at a 1:1 ratio before the IPMs reach your defences. ABMs are stored in the Missile Silo.

Intercept Mechanics

When IPMs are incoming:

  1. ABMs are automatically launched to intercept
  2. Each ABM destroys exactly 1 IPM
  3. ABMs that intercept are consumed
  4. Any IPMs that exceed your ABM count reach your defences
IPMs reaching defence=max(0, IPMs launchedABMs available)\text{IPMs reaching defence} = \max(0,\ \text{IPMs launched} - \text{ABMs available})
ABMs Cannot Be Recalled

Once an IPM is incoming, the intercept happens automatically. ABMs are consumed whether or not they successfully intercept.

Storage

The Missile Silo stores:

  • 5 ABMs per Silo level
  • 2 IPMs per Silo level

Tips

Keep Stock Full

Always maintain a full stock of ABMs. IPM raids are cheap for the attacker and extremely effective if you have no ABMs.

Scout Before Attack

Smart attackers probe your ABM count before launching IPMs. If they see 10 ABMs, they'll send 12+ IPMs to guarantee some get through.

Counter-Strategy

The counter to IPM attacks is maintaining more ABMs than your opponent can reasonably send. Make building the Missile Silo to level 4+ a priority.
