Each level of the Lunar Base provides 3 additional building fields on the moon.
Moon Unlocks
| Level | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| 1 | Sensor Phalanx |
| 1 | Jump Gate |
Moons form after any battle that creates a debris field above a planet. The chance depends solely on debris field size, capped at 20%. See How Moons Form for the full formula.
Tips
Every moon should have at least Lunar Base 1 to unlock the Sensor Phalanx and Jump Gate.
Moons range from 2,000 km to 9,000 km in diameter. Larger moons have more base fields. A Lunar Base trades expensive resources for extra fields.
Moons are the preferred location for fleet saving via the Jump Gate. Keep a Lunar Base and Jump Gate on your main system's moon.
