Beta access is invite-only. We review every application.
Getting Started
Obsidian's missing piece.
The existing options all have real trade-offs.
Obsidian Sync
$4–8/month for sync only. No publishing, no custom domains, no per-folder passwords. You still need a separate solution to share your notes.
Obsidian Publish
$8/month per site — but anyone with the link can read it. No password protection, no per-folder auth, no way to restrict access to specific people.
Quartz + GitHub Pages
Always public unless you pay for GitHub Enterprise. Requires Git, a CLI, and manual deploys every time you update a note.
Sync + publish. One plugin.
Built for Obsidian power users who need private sharing without the complexity.
Bidirectional sync
Your vault stays in sync across all your devices automatically. Edit on one device, pick up on another within minutes.
Selective sync
Choose which folders to sync and publish. Keep your private notes private — only what you include ever leaves your device.
Password protection
Lock your entire published site, specific folders, or individual notes — each with their own password.
Obsidian syntax
Wikilinks, callouts, frontmatter, tags, tables, code blocks, Mermaid diagrams, and LaTeX all render correctly.
Custom domains
Point your own domain at your published site. Your content, your brand — no sidian.app in the URL.
Conflict resolution
Edited the same note on two devices? Sidian detects conflicts and lets you choose which version to keep from your dashboard.
Free during beta.
All features are available at no cost while we're in beta. We're onboarding users gradually — request access and we'll review your application.

View all →Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Install the Obsidian plugin, enter your site ID and API key, and sync. Your vault is live in seconds.
How does sync work across devices?
The plugin watches your vault for changes and syncs them to Sidian automatically. When you open Obsidian on another device, it pulls the latest version. Conflicts are detected and surfaced in your dashboard.
Is sync the same as publishing?
No — they're separate. Syncing keeps your vault backed up and available across devices. Publishing turns selected notes into a shareable website. You control which folders appear on your published site.
What Obsidian syntax is supported?
Wikilinks, callouts, frontmatter, inline tags, tables, code blocks, Mermaid diagrams, and LaTeX math. Everything you use daily.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes on paid plans. Point a CNAME at sidian.app and we handle the SSL certificate automatically.
Ready to publish privately?
Drop in your vault, set a password, share a link. No Git, no CLI, no Cloudflare account.
